I want to say, first off, thank you all for your support and interest in the game. It has truly meant so much to me, Clara, and Liz to see how many people loved the game and were wanting to play AH*LE. The comments and suggestions were fantastic and hilarious, and we are so grateful to all of you for supporting us and rooting us on.
We were so close! 88% funded on Kickstarter! Which I say is pretty good for a team of designers who had never done it before 😊 We definitely learned a lot about games, publishing games, and had a great time interacting with you all in the community.
With that being said, we learned a lot about our mistakes in the process. I definitely in hindsight should have postponed the launch a little longer and should have done more pre-campaign awareness. I think it would have also been nice to have waited until the Game-Cons opened back up to get to meet more gamers in person! Needless to say, I definitely feel better prepared now.
On a personal note, I will, unfortunately, need to wait on the relaunch without a clear idea of when that would be. Some of you may know, I had some health complications before the launch, and some issues arose during June that needed more attention. There's no cause for alarm, nothing life-threatening. It'll just take some time and patience! With the love and support of my friends and family, I will be starting treatment! However, until some personal complications are sorted out, I do not have a clear date of when I would like to do a relaunch.
I will be keeping the Instagram and Facebook page up in the meantime! The website will stay up for as long as I can support it, and so if you aren’t following and would like to stay in touch on when we may do another launch, please give us a follow!
Thank you all again so much for such a fantastic journey. It truly has been an unforgettable experience, and I hope to see you all again one day soon!
The very best,
Creator of AH*LE
